Salon 387 Lakeland Celebrated its Grand Opening Oct. 1

After more than a decade in downtown Memphis, Salon 387 has expanded to Lakeland with a second luxury salon at Lakeland Town Square and celebrated its official grand opening on Oct. 1, 2026.

The Lakeland location marks Salon 387's first expansion and a new chapter for the independently owned salon.

The grand opening celebration brought together clients and the community for a day featuring local vendors, giveaways and one-day-only salon specials.

Founder and owner Elaine Clayton opened the original Salon 387 in 2015 on South Main Street in downtown Memphis, above Stock & Belle. Over the past decade, the salon has grown a loyal clientele and a team specializing in dimensional color, seamless extensions, advanced blonding and, of course, amazing cuts.

“Opening a second location wasn't about duplicating what we already have,” Clayton said. “South Main has its own personality and history, and we wanted Lakeland to have that same sense of identity. The space is different, but the standard of work, the people and the experience that built Salon 387 are all the same.”

While Salon 387's South Main studio reflects the art, architecture and creative energy of downtown Memphis, its Lakeland location offers a larger, sleek and modern environment designed around an elevated salon experience.

The expansion also allows Salon 387 to serve clients in Lakeland and surrounding communities while growing its team and maintaining the personalized approach that has helped build the business over the past 11 years.

For Clayton, that growth has been driven largely by relationships. Some Salon 387 clients have returned every six weeks for more than a decade, growing alongside the salon and the stylists who serve them.

“Luxury isn't just what a space looks like,” Clayton said. “It's having someone know your hair, understand what you want and care about the result. It's consistency. It's expertise. And it's knowing you're going to be taken care of every time you're here.”

Salon 387 specializes in dimensional and custom color, advanced blonding, seamless hair extensions, precision cuts, styling and other luxury hair services.
